Refrigerator Valve Leak

SERVPRO of South Philadelphia received a call to a residential home in Wallingford, PA.  They had a refrigerator valve leak in their kitchen.  The leak seeped through the floor into the basement.  It only damaged five or six ceiling tiles in the basement, but it affected 90% of the basements carpet.  The carpet and pad had to be extracted of the water.  There was standing water underneath the washer and dryer.  Due to delamination of the carpet and padding, it had to be removed completely.  Our team airrated the walls and placed twelve air movers in the basement.  We treated the affected areas to prevent any growth of mold in the future.  Even though we completely dried the area, it's better knowing we protected the structure.
